How much does this cost?
Charges are usually between 6% to 10% of billable services and are assessed during our initial consultation.
Why does it cost 6-10%?
LD Medical Billing is an independent practice. In order to best serve you, we do not charge any startup fees and provide an incredible level of service. We need to grow with you and your business to continue providing exceptional service. The best way to do this is by charging on a percent basis to ensure that when your business expands, we can handle your billing needs!
How long does it take?
The initial consultation typically takes between 1 and 2 weeks to set up. The initial setup is Guaranteed to be completed in 2 weeks of receiving all relevant paperwork. Our turnaround time for submitting claims is only 1 to 5 days.
Insurance turnaround times vary: The first insurance claim payment takes a minimum of 30 days and can take up to 90 days, depending on the insurance company, type of claim, and time of year. The following claims take around 30 days.
How do I get new insurance patients?
If you become credentialed (we can help!) then you can gain referrals through insurance company websites. Some clients already have your service as a billable, they just aren’t using their insurance yet. Ask them!
Word of mouth: tell your network that you now accept insurance claims. Inform local doctors that you are available for referral. Update Social Media!
How am I able to become affiliated with an insurance company??
